After dating for eight years, Jillian couldn’t wait to add some sparkle to her left hand.  With only a few more visits left in the year, she was pretty sure Anthony was planning on proposing during their trip to State College to see The American Gymnastics team perform.  It was earlier in the month of October (October 5, 2008, to be exact) when Anthony called Jillian on his drive home from the airport after a visit to see his family in Florida.  Jillian noticed Anthony was in an extra good mood that day, but didn’t think anything of it.  She got off the phone with him, telling him she’d call him after she was done watching Desperate Housewives.  It was about 10:30pm, when Anthony called Jillian again.  While she was trying to tell him that she was still watching TV, the doorbell started ringing.  Jillian ignored it, thinking someone had the wrong buzzer, since it was a Sunday night and she wasn’t expecting anyone.  Anthony finally convinced her to see who was at the door and Anthony was there.  Hesitant to let Anthony in (since she wasn’t expecting company and thought her apartment was messy), they went upstairs (both wearing Lehigh T-shirts) where Anthony got down on one knee and proposed.  Although neither one of them can remember most of what was said, they are both certain Jillian said, “Yes!!”  The next day, Anthony and Jillian toasted to the rest of their lives together at Sonoma Grille in downtown Pittsburgh.
